The 6666 Ranch offers a paid internship for under graduate college students looking to advance their knowledge and skill in the equine industry, with the potential for full time employment if available. Whether you are interested in applying to vet school, or simply learn more of the basics on general care, reproduction, foaling, doctoring, vaccinations and sale prep of horses; this is an internship you should consider. You will get a tremendous amount of hands on experience and on the job training.

The 6666 Ranch has a state of the art facility with advanced technology, sugery suite and diagnostic tools to offer outside clientele, and to be used on the nearly 1000+ head of horses currently on the ranch.

We stand approximately 24 stallions for on-site and cooled/shipped semen for artificial insemination, and breed around 1500+ mares annually. We are also a Select Breeders Services (SBS) affiliate lab for stallion freezing, and breed many mares throughout the season with frozen semen. Embryo transfer and embryo freezing are yet another service we routinely perform.

A positive attitude and good work ethic are required and in turn we will provide a professional working and learning environment. Several positions are avaliable for two different intership options. Depending on your school schedule or work availability, we can evaluate your situation on a case by case basis.
