The Four Sixes Ranch is proud to announce that General Manager Joe Leathers will be honored as an inductee of the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame (TCHOF) in its 2026 class. The induction ceremony will take place on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth, Texas.

Under Joe’s leadership, the Four Sixes Ranch has continued to build on its 150-year legacy of cattle, horse, and land stewardship, while exemplifying innovation, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the working-ranch way of life. His influence spans from the ranch’s pastures and into advocacy for the broader cattle-ranching industry.

“Joe’s reputation nationwide as a cowboy, cattleman, and horseman is without rival. He counts as his peers some of the most revered cowboys and cattlemen in the industry. Names like Haythorn, Gardner, Morehouse, Welch, titans of the cowboy world, who will all attest to Joe’s skill as a cowboy, land steward, ambassador for the cattle industry, and advocate for all those who make their living with no time card: the sunrise is their starting bell, the sunset the end of their day,” said Taylor Sheridan, President of Four Sixes Ranch.

Joe has guided the Four Sixes Ranch through drought, wildfire, expansion, and evolving agricultural and stewardship challenges, all while maintaining the historic excellence in cattle, horses, and land that has been the hallmark of the Four Sixes brand. He also helped found the national CattleTrace program and has represented ranching interests before the Texas Legislature and U.S. Congress.

The Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame’s 2026 celebration will also honor other distinguished Texas ranching and Western-heritage leaders — including Pete Carr, Russell deCordova, David Isham, and Jim Jennings — with a special Spirit of Texas Award going to Neal McCoy.

The ceremony evening begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails, a silent auction, and cowboy-style dining, with the formal induction at 7 p.m. at Billy Bob’s Texas. Tickets are available via the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame website.

Please join us in congratulating Joe Leathers on this outstanding recognition and in celebrating his enduring commitment to the land, the livestock, and the people who make the Western way of life thrive.
